NBA champions the New York Knicks made an unexpected appearance in the wrestling ring, trading the basketball court for the WWE ring at Saturday Night's Main Event. The event, held at the historic Madison Square Garden, marked the first time the show was hosted there since 2007.

Knicks stars Jalen Brunson, the NBA Finals MVP, and Karl-Anthony Towns were central figures in the evening's festivities. Brunson found himself in the spotlight during the main event, sharing the ring with top WWE star Roman Reigns. Reigns acknowledged Brunson's presence by calling him the "King of New York" and presenting him with a specially designed championship belt in Knicks colors, drawing cheers from the crowd.

The surprise continued with Karl-Anthony Towns also entering the fray. Towns demonstrated his potential as a wrestler, overpowering opponents and celebrating with a signature five-finger raise, a nod to the Knicks' playoff slogan "Knicks in five." Indiana Pacers player Tyrese Haliburton also participated in the show.

In the finale, Roman Reigns celebrated alongside Brunson, with the Larry O'Brien NBA Championship trophy present. The event highlighted a unique crossover, showcasing the Knicks' ability to capture attention not just on the basketball court but also in the wrestling arena.
