The Kogi State Police Command has initiated a statewide enforcement campaign targeting vehicles with non-compliant license plates. This measure, directed by the Inspector-General of Police, aims to bolster public safety by making it harder for criminals to use untraceable vehicles for illicit activities.

The Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Command, CP Naziru Bello Kankarofi, psc, mni, has directed all Area Commanders, Motor Traffic police and Divisional Police Officers to enforce full compliance within their Areas of Responsibility.

Police Commissioner Naziru Bello Kankarofi has instructed all relevant police units to ensure strict adherence to the directive. Vehicles found to be in violation of the regulations will be impounded and subjected to thorough investigation. Authorities are urging motorists and transport operators to ensure their vehicle registration plates are always valid and clearly visible, and to keep all necessary documents readily available for inspection.
