Korea Steel's ARKERD to Unveil 'ARKERD CREW' for Small Workplaces at 2026 Safety Expo

Korea Steel's workwear brand, ARKERD, is launching 'ARKERD CREW,' a new program designed to enhance safety for workers at small-scale sites. This initiative will be unveiled at the 2026 AI Safety and Health Expo (KISS 2026), where ARKERD is participating for the third consecutive year.

ARKERD, which means 'faith in safety,' was born from the need for safe and comfortable workwear for employees handling extreme temperatures in the steel industry. The brand's name combines 'ARK/ARC,' symbolizing protection from heat and flames, with 'CREED,' representing a commitment to safety.

The 'ARKERD CREW' program is an extension of ARKERD's existing bespoke workwear services, now tailored to the specific constraints of smaller businesses. These businesses often face limitations in budget and personnel, making it difficult to implement customized safety attire. The new program aims to bridge this gap, allowing smaller operations to adopt safety clothing suited to their unique working environments and risks.

Utilizing ARKERD's 'Bespoke System,' the program involves custom design, material selection, and specification development based on each site's specific conditions and hazards. Visitors to the ARKERD booth at KISS 2026 can explore product lines including flame-retardant clothing, workwear, and safety shoes, and receive personalized consultations. Park Sang-mok, a team leader at Korea Steel, stated, "It is ARKERD's belief that everyone who works should be properly protected, regardless of the size of the site. 'ARKERD CREW' is the first step in expanding that idea to a wider audience."
