Korean Teachers' Pension conducts volunteer work and delivers donations to Ewha Orphanage in Naju

Employees from the Korean Teachers' Pension (KTP) dedicated their time to volunteer work and financial support at the Ewha Orphanage in Naju City, South Jeolla Province. The visit, which took place on July 30, aimed to enhance the living and educational environment for the children residing at the facility.

Ewha Orphanage, a social welfare institution established in 1986, provides care and welfare services for children in the Naju region. It currently houses 42 children, offering them a safe and nurturing environment. The KTP's volunteer activities focused on enriching the children's experiences, notably by organizing a trip to the National Naju Museum.

During the museum visit, KTP staff accompanied the children, ensuring their safety and participating in the educational and cultural activities. In addition to their time, KTP donated 2 million won (approximately $1,500 USD) to purchase educational supplies. Furthermore, a book donation, valued at 300,000 won (approximately $225 USD), was made by the KTP's employee reading club. These contributions are intended to foster a supportive learning environment and encourage reading habits among the children.

Song Ha-joong, the president of KTP, expressed his hopes for the children's future, stating, "I hope the children can learn and pursue their dreams in a better environment." He affirmed the organization's commitment to continuing social contribution activities that support the healthy growth of future generations and contribute to local community development. KTP plans to expand its outreach through continued donations and volunteer work, aiming to realize social value.
