South Korean Organizations Announce Awards, Workshops, and Exhibitions

Several South Korean organizations have announced recent activities and awards. The Independence Hall of Korea recognized Professor Jeong Byeong-jun of Ewha Womans University with the '22nd Independence Hall of Korea Academic Award' for his comprehensive three-volume work, 'Kim Kyu-sik and His Era.' The selection committee highly praised the academic value and contribution of Jeong's research to the field of independence movement history.

KCC Corporation recently hosted a '2026 KCC Architectural Paint Academy Prospective Management Workshop' at its Jeonju factory. The event, held from July 14-15, aimed to educate potential dealers on KCC's architectural paint business. Participants received training on product manufacturing, quality control, logistics, and painting techniques to enhance their practical understanding of the industry.

In the realm of business certifications, the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency announced that Korea Venture Investment Corp. has achieved integrated certification for ISO 37001 (Anti-Bribery Management System) and ISO 37301 (Compliance Management System).

Meanwhile, IBK Corporate Bank is celebrating its 65th anniversary with an art exhibition titled 'Geumgang Naesan' by artist Lee Yi-nam. The exhibition, running until October 7 at the bank's headquarters in Seoul, features Lee's reinterpretation of the Joseon Dynasty painter Jeong Seon's 'Geumgang Jeondo' using digital technology.
