Kosovo Declares Telekom Serbia CEO Persona Non Grata

Kosovo's Interior Ministry has declared Vladimir Lucic, the CEO of Telekom Serbia, persona non grata, issuing a permanent ban on his entry into, transit through, or stay within the territory of Kosovo. The decision took immediate effect, with police ordered to enforce the ban.

The ministry stated that Lucic was declared persona non grata due to his expressed views that "seek to undermine the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and constitutional order of the Republic of Kosovo." Furthermore, he was cited for promoting and publicly supporting activities and policies that challenge Kosovo's sovereign authority in strategic sectors, including electronic communications and telecommunications infrastructure.

This move signifies a significant escalation in tensions between Kosovo and Serbia, particularly concerning the governance and control of telecommunications infrastructure within Kosovo. The decision underscores Kosovo's determination to assert its authority and sovereignty against perceived external interference.
