Koulierakis Explains Why He Chose Roma: "Coach and System Suited Me"

Konstantinos Koulierakis has embarked on a new chapter in his career, joining the ranks of AS Roma and making a notable impression with a goal during his unofficial debut. The Greek international center-back recently spoke with Italian publication "Corriere," detailing the reasons behind his choice to sign with the Giallorossi.

Koulierakis revealed that the presence of coach Gian Piero Gasperini and the team's tactical system were significant influences on his decision. "One of the reasons I chose Roma was the coach and his playing system (with three center-backs), because I believe it particularly suits my characteristics, especially as a left-sided center-back," he stated.

He acknowledged the challenges ahead but expressed confidence in the team's potential under Gasperini's guidance. "I know it will be difficult, but with a successful coach like him, the conditions are the best," Koulierakis added.

Upon receiving the offer from Roma, Koulierakis did not hesitate. "When Roma called me, I didn't think twice," he said. He feels comfortable and well-integrated into the team, thanking everyone for the warm welcome. Koulierakis is optimistic about his future with the club, aiming to contribute to their success.
