Kragujevac to Conduct Mosquito Control Operations Tuesday

Kragujevac is set to conduct extensive mosquito control operations on Tuesday, July 7, weather permitting. The city will implement a two-pronged approach targeting both mosquito larvae and adult populations.

In the morning, efforts will focus on eliminating larvae in various water bodies within the city using the biological agent Vectobac WG. This is a preventative measure aimed at reducing the future mosquito population.

The second phase will address adult mosquitoes in the evening, between 7 PM and 10 PM. Ground-based equipment will be used for spraying in areas with dense vegetation, parks, playgrounds, and other public spaces. Some parts of the city, including the Šumarice Memorial Park, will also undergo fumigation.

The adult mosquito treatment will utilize the preparations Aqua K-Othrin and Icon 2.5. Beekeepers in the affected areas are advised to take necessary precautions to protect their hives during the spraying periods.
