PT Krakatau Posco is actively engaging with young people in Cilegon through a comprehensive educational program designed to foster awareness of safety, health, and digital security. Running from June 4 to June 12, 2026, the initiative targets students at SMP Negeri 4 Cilegon, aiming to equip them with essential knowledge for navigating the risks of modern life.

Safety is not only a responsibility in the workplace but also needs to be part of people's daily lives, including the younger generation.

Kim Young Joong, CEO of Krakatau Posco, emphasized that safety extends beyond the workplace and must be integrated into daily life, especially for the younger generation. The program features six distinct classes covering critical topics such as disaster mitigation, emergency response, basic life support, healthy living habits, social media literacy, cybersecurity, and waste management. This broad curriculum ensures students receive a well-rounded education on crucial societal and personal safety issues.

Students are learning practical skills through sessions like Early Fire & Disaster Response Education, which outlines steps for managing emergencies, and CPR Training, providing basic first aid for cardiac arrest and other critical situations. The program also addresses health through education on nutritious eating and healthy lifestyles, vital for child development. Furthermore, Krakatau Posco is promoting responsible online behavior with classes on safe social media content creation and IT security, including advice on protecting personal data and understanding cyber threats.

Beyond immediate safety and digital concerns, the initiative includes a Waste Separation Campaign & Education, teaching students the importance of waste sorting and introducing them to the company's waste management practices.
