Kuwait Airways Resumes Flights at T4 as Operations Restart

Kuwait Airways is back in full swing, resuming passenger operations at Terminal 4 of Kuwait International Airport. This marks a significant step in the return to normalcy for air travel in the region, following the reopening of Kuwait's airspace. The airline's Acting CEO, Abdulwahab Al-Shatti, expressed satisfaction with the smooth and efficient check-in procedures, highlighting the successful restart of operations.

The initial phase sees flights to key destinations like Cairo, Amman, Delhi, Mumbai, and Manila. This gradual expansion, with plans to cover 35 routes starting with 13 destinations including Beirut, Riyadh, London, and Istanbul, demonstrates Kuwait Airways' strategic approach to rebuilding its network. The airline's commitment to maintaining efficiency, safety, and service quality remains paramount throughout this process.

Al-Shatti's acknowledgment of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation's support and the commendable efforts of the staff during the suspension period underscores the collaborative spirit that enabled this comeback. Flights were temporarily rerouted through Dammam, Saudi Arabia, during the closure, a testament to the airline's adaptability. The reopening of Kuwait's airspace, after a precautionary closure in late February amid regional tensions, signals a welcome de-escalation and a return to more stable conditions for international travel.
