Kuwait Authorities Raid Warehouse, Seize 1,430 Refurbished Used Tires

Kuwaiti authorities have cracked down on a clandestine operation involving the refurbishment and resale of used tires. In a raid on a warehouse, officials discovered 1,430 tires being cleaned, polished, and repackaged for sale to unsuspecting consumers.

The Capital Governorate Inspection Control Unit, in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior’s Criminal Investigation Department, executed the raid following a period of surveillance. During the inspection, authorities found specialized equipment used for refurbishing tires, indicating a systematic effort to alter their appearance and prepare them for the market.

Investigations revealed that the warehouse operators were storing used tires, restoring their aesthetic appeal, and then presenting them for sale. A violation report was officially filed against the warehouse. The seized tires have been documented, and legal proceedings are now in motion, involving coordination between the relevant ministries to hold those responsible accountable.
