Kuwait Club, Al-Arabi Set for Blockbuster Zain Premier League Opener

The Kuwait Football Association (KFA) has finalized the schedule for the 65th Zain Premier League season, with the opening matches slated for August 25. The upcoming season will showcase 12 teams, including the reigning champions, Kuwait Club, alongside other prominent clubs like Al-Qadsia and Al-Arabi.

The draw for the opening round has set up a highly anticipated clash between Kuwait Club and Al-Arabi, a fixture expected to draw significant attention. Other matchups include Al-Qadsia against Al-Fahaheel, Al-Tadamon facing Kazma, Al-Jahra taking on Al-Shabab, and Al-Salmiya playing Al-Nasr. The champions and runners-up from the First Division will also compete.

League matches will follow a home-and-away format, with games scheduled across two days each week, featuring three matches per day. In a significant development for the league's stability, Zain Telecommunications has secured its role as the sponsor for both the Premier League and First Division for the next four seasons, following a successful bidding process.
