Kuwait condemns Iran’s repeated targeting of civilian facilities

Kuwait has issued a strong condemnation of an Iranian attack that targeted a power and water desalination plant on Sunday morning. The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the repeated and deliberate targeting of such vital civilian facilities as a reflection of a "systematic aggressive approach."

In a statement, the ministry emphasized that the attack constitutes a grave and escalating threat to civilian safety and security. It further asserted that the targeting of vital and civilian infrastructure violates international law, international humanitarian law, the UN Charter, and Security Council Resolution 2817.

Kuwait holds Iran fully responsible for these attacks and any resulting consequences. The nation affirmed its right to take all necessary measures to preserve its security and defend its territory and vital facilities against any aggression or threat, invoking the right of self-defense as per Article 51 of the UN Charter.
