Kuwait courts collect nearly KD4.5 million in fees in June

Kuwait’s Court Fees Department collected KD4,456,216 in June 2026 while processing thousands of cases and enforcement requests, according to statistics from the Ministry of Justice’s Statistics and Research Department.

The Cases Examination Section received 7,546 cases and scrutinized 7,763. Capital Governorate recorded the largest number of cases received for scrutiny, with 4,720, followed by Hawally with 1,100, Farwaniya with 1,028, Jahra with 513, and Ahmadi and Mubarak Al-Kabeer with 185 each.

The Auditing and Review Section received 5,758 cases from the examination section and reviewed 6,518. Capital again handled the largest share, with 2,545 cases, followed by Farwaniya with 1,659, Ahmadi and Mubarak Al-Kabeer with 993 each, Hawally with 800 and Jahra with 521. The Claims Department issued 1,825 fee-assessment orders, including 695 in Farwaniya and 649 in the Capital.

The Follow Up and Execution of Orders Department recorded 2,702 requests to seize debtors’ assets, 883 procedures involving orders from the Claims Department, 531 notification assessments, 183 vehicle-seizure requests, 134 travel-ban requests, 86 requests to lift seizures of assets held by third parties and 73 appeals.

The Fee Assessment Department received 16,233 requests. Farwaniya accounted for 37.2 percent, the Capital for 26.5 percent, Ahmadi and Mubarak Al-Kabeer for 12.3 percent each, Jahra for 10.9 percent, Hawally for 9.7 percent and the Kuwait Lawyers Association for 3.5 percent.
