Kuwait Cracks Down on Addresses: 441 Expats Given 30 Days or Pay KD 100

Kuwait is enforcing stricter regulations on residential addresses, with the Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI) announcing the removal of 441 individuals' addresses from the official registry. This action, published in the official gazette 'Kuwait Al-Youm,' stems from homeowners' declarations or the demolition of buildings where these individuals were registered.

PACI has issued a directive urging the affected 441 individuals to update their residential information. They are required to register their new addresses at PACI offices or through the 'Sahel' application, providing all necessary supporting documents. This process must be completed within 30 days of the announcement's publication.

Failure to comply with the directive will result in a penalty. As stipulated in Article 33 of Law No. 32/1982, individuals who do not update their addresses within the specified timeframe face a maximum fine of KD100. This measure aims to ensure the accuracy of the national registry and streamline administrative processes.
