Kuwait Introduces New Fees for Marine Crafts and Jet Skis | Src: Arab Times (KW)

Kuwait is introducing new regulations for the use of marine crafts and jet skis, with the Ministry of Interior establishing a revised fee structure. The decision, published in the official gazette "Kuwait Alyoum," outlines specific charges for various services related to these watercraft. For first-time license issuance, a flat fee of KD 5 will apply to all sizes. The cost for replacing lost or damaged licenses differs based on the craft's length: KD 25 for those over 40 feet, KD 20 for vessels between 16 and 40 feet, and KD 15 for smaller crafts under 16 feet. Significant fees are also stipulated for changing a boat's registered activity or nature of work, ranging from KD 70 for larger vessels down to KD 50 for smaller ones. The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior is tasked with enforcing these new regulations, which took effect upon their publication.
