Kuwait, Jordan forge closer security links

Kuwait and Jordan are deepening their security ties, with high-level officials from both nations meeting to bolster cooperation. Kuwait's First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, met with his Jordanian counterpart, Mazen Al-Faraya, in Amman. They discussed bilateral relations and coordinated efforts to address regional security developments. Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef emphasized the strong historical ties between the two countries and the importance of continued coordination between their interior ministries to promote security and stability. In parallel, military leaders also convened. Lieutenant General Khaled Al-Shuraian, Chief of the General Staff of the Kuwaiti Army, met with his Jordanian counterpart, Major General Yousef Al-Hunaiti. Their discussions focused on enhancing military and defensive cooperation between the armed forces of both nations. They also explored developing a strategic partnership to serve their shared interests. Lt. Gen. Al-Shuraian expressed Kuwait's commitment to expanding military collaboration and sharing expertise. Maj. Gen. Al-Hunaiti affirmed the deep-rooted ties and their mutual role in maintaining common security. Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef concluded his visit to Amman, reiterating the importance of sustained coordination for reinforcing stability.
