Kuwait marks invasion anniversary, condemns Iranian drone attacks

Kuwait's Cabinet on Tuesday marked the 36th anniversary of the Iraqi invasion, reaffirming it as a defining moment of national unity and sacrifice. The government honored the nation's leaders and martyrs, recalling the "treacherous crime" of August 2, 1990. The Cabinet stressed the invasion remains a testament to Kuwait's resilience and the "heroic sacrifices" made in defense of its homeland.

In a strong statement, the Cabinet condemned ongoing Iranian attacks targeting Kuwait, including drone strikes on vital facilities and civilian vehicles. The government described these actions as a "flagrant violation of the country’s sovereignty" and a "serious breach of international law." Kuwait affirmed its right to take necessary measures to safeguard its sovereignty and national interests.
