Kuwait wins bronze at Arab U-17 Volleyball Championship

Kuwait's young volleyball squad has clinched the bronze medal at the second Arab U-17 Volleyball Championship held in Bahrain. The team secured third place by defeating Algeria with a decisive 3-0 victory in their final match.

This achievement marks a significant milestone for Kuwait's youth volleyball program, showcasing encouraging performances throughout the competition. Naif Al-Failakawi, a board member of the Kuwait Volleyball Federation and head of the delegation, described the bronze medal as an important accomplishment, especially considering the ongoing progress of Kuwait's national teams.

Al-Failakawi attributed the team's success to a comprehensive preparation program. This included domestic training in Kuwait and an overseas training camp in Cairo, where players engaged in several friendly matches to enhance their match fitness and gain valuable experience. He extended congratulations to the federation's board, coaching and administrative staff, players, and supporters, expressing optimism for the team's continued development and future achievements.

Team manager Abdullah Al-Rais echoed this sentiment, stating that the bronze medal is the initial reward for the team's dedicated preparations. He expressed confidence in the squad's potential to become a vital source of talent for Kuwait's senior national team, viewing the third-place finish as the beginning of expected future successes.
