Kuwaiti handball referees begin European tour for season preparation

Kuwaiti handball referees have embarked on a European tour for intensive preparation ahead of the new sports season. The delegation left for Slovenia to participate in the Challenge Tournament before heading to Hungary for the Cell Cup.

This program is designed to offer the referees valuable international exposure and the chance to officiate numerous matches. Officiating against teams with diverse playing styles and technical standards is expected to refine their decision-making abilities and improve their handling of various match situations.

The tour also incorporates a physical training camp to boost fitness and overall readiness, which is crucial for referees to keep pace with the game and make accurate calls. Additionally, technical and academic lectures will cover the latest rule updates and analyze refereeing cases to ensure consistent application of the rules.

International referees Ahmed Al-Mutawa and Abdulrahman Al-Mulla will contribute as lecturers, sharing their extensive experience. This European journey is a significant opportunity for the Kuwaiti referees to gain international experience, engage with different refereeing approaches, and enhance their physical, technical, and theoretical skills, underscoring Kuwait's focus on strengthening handball refereeing.
