Kwak Si-yang announces November wedding to Lovelyz singer Yoo Ji-ae

Kwak Si-yang says he has found “a precious person” with whom he wants to spend the rest of his life. The actor announced that he will marry Lovelyz member and actress Yoo Ji-ae on Nov. 28, after one year of dating.

Kwak shared the news in a handwritten letter on Instagram. He said he had spent time thinking about how to tell people after the wedding plans became public, while also feeling excited about the announcement.

“Based on our trust and love for each other, we promised to walk through the rest of our lives together,” he wrote. He said the couple hoped to support each other through difficult times, share happy moments and build a warm family.

Kwak also thanked fans for supporting him since he began his acting career. He said that support had allowed him to continue working as an actor and promised to show a more mature side of himself while pursuing good roles and projects.

The announcement attracted particular attention because the pair had not been the subject of public dating rumors. Kwak, whose real name is Kwak Myeong-jin, was born in 1987, while Yoo was born in 1993, making them six years apart.
