Kwara APC candidates begin thank-you tour, seek continued support

Candidates of Nigeria's All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State have launched a statewide thank-you tour, signaling their intent to consolidate support ahead of the 2027 general elections. The tour, led by the party's gubernatorial candidate and Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Yakubu Salihu, commenced in Ekiti and Oke-Ero Local Government Areas.

We are starting this tour in Ekiti as a mark of honour for our party Chairman. We are here to thank you for what you did during the party primaries and seek your continued support for our candidacies from our Presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, down to the State House Assembly.

Accompanied by the Kwara APC Chairman, Prince Sunday Fagbemi, and other party officials, the delegation paid courtesy visits to traditional rulers, including the Olosi of Osi and the Alofa of Ilofa. Addressing supporters at the Ekiti town hall, Salihu expressed gratitude for their backing during the party primaries. He appealed for continued support for all APC candidates, from the presidential nominee Bola Tinubu down to state assembly hopefuls.

We appreciate you for coming out en masse to receive us. This visit is just on short notice, and the hall is filled to its capacity. We will not take your support for granted. We will consolidate your gains from the administration of Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

Salihu commended the strong turnout despite the short notice, emphasizing that the party would not take the support for granted. He pledged to build upon the achievements of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, focusing on infrastructure, inclusive growth, human capital development, and support for traditional institutions. The APC candidate urged party members to actively mobilize more supporters, encouraging those who may have strayed to rejoin the "winning team."
