Kwara APC sets up reconciliation panel

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State has established a five-member reconciliation committee to address internal disputes and bolster party unity ahead of the 2027 general elections. The committee, announced by State Publicity Secretary Babatunde Olawale, will be led by retired Colonel Ademola Lawal.

This committee shall have the mandate to engage all stakeholders on areas of differences and make recommendations on how to bring everyone on the same page as we prepare for the general elections.

The panel's mandate includes engaging all factions within the party, identifying areas of disagreement, and proposing solutions to foster cohesion. State APC chairman Sunday Fagbemi emphasized that the committee aims to ensure all stakeholders are involved and their concerns are heard, aligning members for the upcoming elections.

It is a show of respect to all our party leaders and members who may have one or two grievances.

Fagbemi highlighted that the initiative underscores the party's respect for its leaders and members, providing a platform for grievances to be aired and accommodated. He expressed confidence in the committee's experienced and reputable members to restore harmony within the party, stressing that every member is valued.

We feel everyone deserves to be heard and accommodated in different ways as members of the same larger political family.

This move by the Kwara APC aligns with broader political realignments across Nigeria as parties prepare for the 2027 polls. By addressing internal concerns, the party seeks to consolidate its position and enhance its electoral prospects in the state.
