Gov Abiodun appoints six new permanent secretaries

Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun has appointed six new permanent secretaries, a move designed to bolster the state's Civil/Public Service leadership and advance ongoing public sector reforms. The appointments were announced by Head of Service Mr. I. O. Saka, filling positions vacated by retiring officials.

The newly appointed officials are Dr. Solomon Oluseyi Sokunbi, Mr. Abiodun Oladunjoye Akinwunmi, Mr. Adedeji Akanbi Sowunmi, Mr. Olumide Olusola Ogunbo, Mr. Dolamu Isaiah Idowu-Agida, and Musinat Abiola Ayodele. According to Mr. Saka, these appointments align with Nigeria's 1999 Constitution, emphasizing merit, professionalism, and inclusiveness. All six individuals successfully completed the Ogun State Pipeline Leadership Development Programme, a mandatory qualification for top public service roles.

Prior to their promotion, the appointees served in various capacities. Dr. Sokunbi was Director of Hospital Services, Mr. Akinwunmi was Director of Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr. Sowunmi was Director of Investments, Mr. Ogunbo was Project Manager for rural water supply, Mr. Idowu-Agida was Director of Administration and Supplies, and Ms. Ayodele was Director of Urban Development. Governor Abiodun expects them to demonstrate exemplary leadership and integrity, contributing to the administration's "Building Our Future Together Agenda" and enhancing governance efficiency for the benefit of the state's citizens.
