Kwara stakeholders back Reps candidate over empowerment record

Political leaders and supporters within Kwara State have publicly endorsed AbdulQuawiy Olododo, who is vying for the Ilorin East/Ilorin South Federal Constituency seat in the upcoming 2027 general elections. Their backing is rooted in Olododo's extensive history of empowering youth, generating employment, and contributing to public service within the state.

Olododo had been empowering the people and supporting young entrepreneurs long before his decision to seek an elective office.

Key figures specifically pointed to Olododo's past initiatives in agriculture, entrepreneurship, and infrastructure development as compelling reasons for his candidacy. Abdulwaheed Sulaimon, a prominent stakeholder, emphasized that Olododo's dedication to empowering people and supporting young entrepreneurs began long before he considered seeking elective office. Sulaimon suggested that Olododo's involvement in poverty alleviation and youth empowerment was driven by genuine care for his constituents, not political ambition.

I am not sure that Olododo had the ambition to represent his constituency when he was alleviating the poverty of his people. He did those things out of pure and genuine love and consideration for his people.

Sulaimon recalled Olododo's consistent efforts in employment generation since completing his National Youth Service Corps. His agricultural firm, in particular, has been instrumental in creating opportunities for young people interested in farming, providing assistance with securing farmlands and marketing produce. Sulaimon lauded Olododo's integrity, stating that he has always acted transparently and never defrauded beneficiaries. The stakeholder also noted Olododo's tenure as General Manager of the Kwara State Social Investment Programme, where he facilitated access to grants and loans for entrepreneurs. Olododo's decision to contest for the House of Representatives is reportedly driven by a desire to expand these opportunities for the youth in his constituency.

During the period, Olododo encouraged the youths to secure farmlands through his assistance, as well as helped them to dispose of their produce afterwards.
