Kyiv Arms Show Organizer Arrested After Missile Strike Kills 10

An arms exhibition in Kyiv turned deadly when Russian missiles struck the event, killing 10 people and injuring others. Ukrainian authorities have arrested the exhibition's organizer, suspecting negligence led to the tragedy.

The event, organized by an arms manufacturers' association, reportedly took place without coordination with military leadership or local authorities. Over 300 people, including military personnel, government representatives, international partners, and businesspeople, were invited to the open-air venue. The nearest shelter, a mere 34 square meters, was about 100 meters away, placing hundreds in "obvious security risk conditions" from the outset, according to the Prosecutor General's Office.

Investigators are probing whether these actions facilitated the enemy's ability to prepare a targeted attack. The suspect, who sustained minor injuries, is under guard at a medical facility. A court will soon decide on pre-trial detention measures.
