Ukraine's capital, Kyiv, endured a massive ballistic missile attack overnight, as reported by Tymur Tkatjenko, head of the Kyiv military administration. Tkatjenko announced the assault via Telegram, stating the city was under a significant ballistic missile strike.

Journalists in Kyiv confirmed hearing multiple explosions, which caused buildings to shake. Residents sought refuge in underground metro stations. The attack impacted at least four districts: Sjevtjenkivskyj, Dniprovskyj, and Podilskyj. Initial reports indicate fires and damage to residential properties in these areas.

Kyiv's mayor, Vitalij Klytjko, confirmed that emergency services were dispatched to the Podilskyj district, where debris fell in an unpopulated area. A fire also broke out near a residential building in the Sjevtjenkivskyj district, damaging windows. The military administration warned that a drone attack was also in progress, and the threat from ballistic missiles remained high, urging citizens to stay in protective shelters.
