Kylian Mbappé Named as Possible Target of Alleged Kidnapping Network

Kylian Mbappé appeared on a list of at least 26 potential victims identified in an investigation into an alleged criminal network, according to Le Parisien. The list reportedly included businesspeople, traders and other prominent figures, alongside the Real Madrid forward and France captain.

The finding does not mean that the group carried out, or had finalized, a kidnapping attempt against Mbappé. No specific date or operation targeting him has been reported. Authorities are still trying to establish the role of each person allegedly involved in the organization.

The investigation began with an attempted robbery at the home of a watchmaker in Neuilly-sur-Seine, outside Paris. On April 25, three men disguised as delivery workers reportedly arrived with an empty box and tried to persuade the merchant to open the door. He became suspicious and prevented them from entering.

Days later, on May 4, the same watchmaker was robbed at his store. Two armed men allegedly entered and took 11 luxury watches worth about 150,000 euros. Investigators followed leads from that robbery and uncovered an alleged structure linked to plans for other crimes, leading to the discovery of the potential-victim list.

The main suspect, an 18-year-old Franco-Swiss man identified as Clément L. and known as “Lester Z,” was already in pretrial detention in other cases. Investigators suspect he continued organizing criminal activities from prison through messaging applications, including Snapchat. The investigation remains active.
