Kylie Jenner sued by former chef alleging workload caused miscarriage

A former private chef has filed a lawsuit against reality star Kylie Jenner, alleging that an excessive workload contributed to a miscarriage. The complaint, lodged in Los Angeles Superior Court on June 22, details claims of discrimination, harassment, emotional distress, wrongful termination, retaliation, and failure to pay proper wages.

The chef alleges she worked 11- to 12-hour shifts five days a week. Despite informing supervisors of her high-risk pregnancy, she claims she was assigned physically demanding tasks. According to the lawsuit, she told supervisors she was three months pregnant in December 2024 and required reasonable accommodations.

The complaint further states that the chef experienced verbal hostility and mistreatment from supervisors. In one incident in December 2024, she claims she was instructed to lift and transport heavy food items uphill without assistance, leading to a medical emergency where she became dizzy and required security help. A manager allegedly reprimanded her for upsetting Jenner with her behavior.

Another incident cited involves working Jenner's child's birthday party in Palm Springs around February 1, where the chef claims she lacked adequate support. She reportedly broke down emotionally in a bathroom due to exhaustion and strain. The following morning, she experienced bleeding and was informed at the hospital that she had lost her unborn child. Upon returning to work and disclosing the miscarriage, she alleges she was falsely accused of causing issues.
