KYMCO Unveils New Crossover Scooter CV-X45, Updates X-Town ST250

Taiwanese motorcycle manufacturer KYMCO unveiled two new models at the 2026 International Motorcycle Exhibition. The most anticipated is the CV-X45, a new generation flagship crossover scooter presented in production form for the first time. This multi-purpose adventure model is slated for release in the first quarter of next year, though official specifications and pricing are still pending.

The CV-X45 retains design elements from the CV-R5 concept, featuring fluid lines and a comfortable riding posture that reinterprets the large ADV scooter aesthetic. It aims to combine the convenience of a scooter with the riding enjoyment of a geared motorcycle. The production version is equipped with a lightweight single-cylinder engine focused on enhancing low-to-mid-range torque for better acceleration and climbing performance. It also incorporates long-travel front inverted forks, a six-link rear suspension system, and dual-purpose tires to adapt to various terrains. KYMCO emphasized ergonomic design for rider comfort, complemented by a full-color digital instrument cluster, cruise control, and ample storage space.

Alongside the CV-X45, KYMCO also introduced a refreshed X-Town ST250, a popular white-plate scooter favored by commuters. This updated model features a more dynamic dual-tone design, a manually adjustable windscreen offering up to 9 cm of travel, and a class-leading 7-inch TFT full-color display. These upgrades aim to enhance its market competitiveness and appeal for both urban commuting and long-distance touring. The X-Town ST250 is priced at NT$168,000, with a limited-time pre-order discount of NT$10,000 available during the exhibition period.
