Kyrgyz citizen injured in Russian Wildberries warehouse fires after drone attacks

Two Wildberries logistics facilities in Russia, located in Elektrostal (Moscow region) and Kotovsk (Tambov region), were targeted by drone attacks overnight on July 18, resulting in significant fires. Preliminary reports indicate 45 people were injured and one died in Elektrostal, while 7 died and 32 were injured in Kotovsk. The identities of some victims are still being established as their documents were destroyed in the fires.

The Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry stated that there is no officially confirmed information about Kyrgyz citizens among the deceased. However, one Kyrgyz citizen, identified as Zh. uulu A., born in 2005, was hospitalized with a minor injury and is in satisfactory condition. The ministry also reported that a Kyrgyz woman, O.A., born in 2005, who initially went missing, has contacted her relatives and is safe. Two other Kyrgyz citizens who evacuated the facilities lost personal belongings and documents, and the embassy is assisting them with return certificates.

The Kyrgyz Embassy in Russia continues to collaborate with Russian authorities and is actively searching for potential Kyrgyz victims through diaspora groups. Kyrgyz citizens working at the Wildberries facilities who have lost or damaged documents can contact the embassy for consular assistance, including help with document restoration. The embassy is also clarifying information regarding potential Kyrgyz casualties in the Kotovsk fire.
