Kyrgyz State Medical Academy to procure laboratory equipment for drug research

The Kyrgyz State Medical Academy (KSMA) is set to enhance its drug research capabilities through the procurement of advanced laboratory equipment. A tender for the acquisition has been officially posted on the state procurement portal, signaling a significant investment in the institution's scientific infrastructure.

The total planned expenditure for this initiative amounts to 98.2 million Kyrgyz soms. This substantial sum is allocated across three distinct lots designed to cover various aspects of laboratory research. The largest portion, 62.6 million soms, is designated for analytical equipment. An additional 22.7 million soms will be invested in pharmacopoeial and physicochemical equipment, while the remaining 12.9 million soms will fund the acquisition of specialized equipment for sample preparation and storage.

Key among the planned acquisitions is a high-performance liquid chromatograph (HPLC) equipped with a mass spectrometric detector and a triple quadrupole analyzer. This sophisticated instrument is crucial for the precise separation, identification, and quantification of substances, even at very low concentrations, making it invaluable for detailed drug analysis and research.

The tender specifies that the supplier must provide equipment that is new and manufactured no earlier than 2026. Furthermore, the contract includes requirements for installation, comprehensive training for KSMA personnel, and ongoing service support, ensuring the equipment is fully operational and effectively utilized for advancing drug research in Kyrgyzstan.
