Kyrgyzstan and China Plan 'Manas' Cultural Center in Nanjing

A significant initiative has been launched to establish a 'Manas' cultural center in Nanjing, China, aimed at further developing friendship and cultural-humanitarian cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the People's Republic of China. The Ministry of Culture announced the plan.

This initiative seeks to elevate Kyrgyz-Chinese ties to a new level, coinciding with a юбилейная дата (anniversary date) of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. The cultural center is envisioned as a platform to widely introduce the Chinese public to the great epic 'Manas,' including its trilogy, and to showcase the work of prominent Manas tellers.

Within the center, plans include the creation of a museum, a library, and exhibition halls. These facilities will host live performances by Manas tellers, scientific conferences, creative meetings, and various other cultural events, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of Kyrgyz culture.

The establishment of the center is expected to strengthen cultural exchange and understanding between the two nations, building upon existing diplomatic and economic ties. It represents a concrete step in promoting cultural heritage on an international scale.
