New 15-hectare park opens on Ak-Buura River bank in Osh

Osh, Kyrgyzstan, has unveiled a new, expansive recreational park situated along the Ak-Buura River. Spanning 15 hectares, the park is described as the largest and most modern of its kind in the city.

The newly commissioned space is adorned with a variety of plants and flowers, creating a visually appealing environment. Aesthetic installations and decorative lighting have been incorporated, designed to enhance the city's ambiance, particularly during the evening hours. The park is intended to serve as a prime location for families and visitors seeking leisure and relaxation.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by a delegation of parliamentary deputies, led by Parliament Speaker Marlen Mamataliev, and Osh Mayor Zhanybek Akajiev. Mamataliev stressed the necessity for urban infrastructure development to align with population growth and contemporary needs, stating that increasing public facilities and improving territories should prioritize enhancing residents' quality of life.

Akajiev provided an update on the city's development efforts, affirming a continued focus on expanding public spaces. He also highlighted that with presidential support, the city has received over 10 billion soms. These substantial investments are earmarked for comprehensive cleaning and restoration of the Ak-Buura River banks, modernization of urban infrastructure, and extensive greening and beautification of public areas.
