Kyrgyzstan and Organization of Turkic States Discuss Infrastructure and New Projects

Kyrgyzstan's President Sadyr Japarov held discussions with Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), in Cholpon-Ata. The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation within the OTS, implementing existing agreements, and exploring new joint initiatives.

President Japarov emphasized the critical need to bolster economic ties among the organization's member nations. He specifically pointed to the development of transport and other infrastructure, alongside the promotion of investment projects, as key areas for collaboration. The head of state stressed that strengthening these sectors is vital for regional growth.

According to the presidential press service, Japarov placed particular importance on the role of the Turkic Investment Fund. He described it as an effective tool for supporting the priority development goals of member countries, expressing Kyrgyzstan's interest in leveraging its capabilities more actively. The fund aims to facilitate financial support for strategic projects within the Turkic world.

The discussions also touched upon the importance of advancing cultural, humanitarian, and socio-economic cooperation within the OTS framework. Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to continued collaboration across the organization's core activities, signaling a shared vision for a more integrated and prosperous Turkic region.
