Kyrgyzstan Border Service chief inspects frontier from 2,500 meters

Major General Abdikarim Alimbaev, chairman of Kyrgyzstan's State Border Service, conducted a working visit to the Batken region to oversee border protection efforts. His inspection focused on the organization of border security and the progress of engineering works along the frontier.

During his trip, Alimbaev visited several key locations, including the "Tash-Bulak" and "Kairagach" border outposts, as well as the temporary "Gosh-Jailoo" border post. He paid particular attention to the state of border infrastructure, the living and working conditions of personnel, and the overall organization of service along the border.

To gain a firsthand understanding of the challenging conditions, Alimbaev personally ascended to an altitude of approximately 2,500 meters above sea level in rugged, high-mountainous areas. He surveyed sections like Asman-Jailoo and Terekti, and the Chashmagildan and Naumina passes. During these excursions, he received reports from unit commanders on the ground.

The visit also included direct engagement with border guards. Alimbaev familiarized himself with their service conditions and daily routines, addressing concerns and issues they face. Discussions also centered on measures to further improve the socio-economic conditions and material support for the military personnel. Alimbaev expressed gratitude for their diligent service and commitment to protecting the state border, with commendations awarded to the most distinguished servicemen. Additionally, letters of appreciation were sent to the parents of conscripts serving diligently.
