Kyrgyzstan Busts Major Drug and Psychotropic Substance Trafficking Ring

Kyrgyzstan's security forces have successfully disrupted a significant drug trafficking operation, demonstrating their commitment to combating organized crime within the region. The State Committee for National Security, in collaboration with the Issyk-Kul regional police, has dismantled a criminal group responsible for the illegal trade of narcotics and psychotropic substances.

During extensive investigative and operational measures, authorities identified and dismantled a stable channel for the distribution of illicit substances. Key figures in the criminal scheme, identified as A.S.K. and K.T.N., who allegedly played coordinating roles, have been apprehended. This action underscores the effectiveness of our security agencies in tackling sophisticated criminal networks.

The operation also led to the discovery of a makeshift laboratory used for the clandestine production of drugs. More than 10 kilograms of a mixture of substances and chemical components intended for the manufacture of psychotropic drugs were confiscated. The ongoing investigations aim to fully uncover all accomplices and the full extent of the distribution network, ensuring that those involved are brought to justice and that the flow of illegal substances is permanently halted.
