Kyrgyzstan, China Expand Cardiac Surgery Cooperation for Children

Kyrgyzstan and China are deepening their collaboration in cardiac surgery, with a new agreement set to enhance medical services for children with congenital heart defects. The initiative, dubbed "Kind Journey," was formalized through a pact signed by Kyrgyzstan's Deputy Health Minister Bakytbek Kadyraliev and China's Deputy Director of the National Health Commission Zheng Zhe.

This project is designed to broaden access to advanced cardiac surgery within Kyrgyzstan. It also aims to strengthen professional ties between medical institutions in both nations, facilitating the exchange of expertise and the adoption of cutting-edge medical technologies. The agreement underscores a shared commitment to improving specialized healthcare for the Kyrgyz population.

During a visit to China, the Kyrgyz delegation explored potential partnerships with leading medical facilities. Discussions covered a wide array of areas, including advancements in cardiac and neurosurgery, medical personnel training, collaborative scientific research, and the implementation of innovative medical technologies. The exchange also focused on expanding academic and professional development programs.
