Kyrgyzstan deports over 450 foreigners for migration violations

Bishkek authorities have deported more than 450 foreign nationals for violating migration laws, according to the city's Main Internal Affairs Department. The department reported an increase in public order and legislative breaches by foreign citizens.

In addition to the deportations, over 7,900 foreign nationals faced administrative penalties, resulting in fines exceeding 65 million soms. Thirty-nine individuals were prosecuted under criminal law. Several organizations involved in recruiting foreign workers also received administrative sanctions and fines for legal non-compliance.

The Department for Combating Extremism and Illegal Migration is actively conducting preventive and awareness campaigns. Recent sessions at 12 construction companies reached over 1,500 foreign workers, primarily from China. These meetings informed participants about Kyrgyz laws, the importance of respecting local traditions and culture, and the consequences of offenses.

Similar preventive efforts are ongoing nightly in Bishkek's entertainment venues to deter violations and ensure public safety. Authorities emphasized that all violations of Kyrgyz legislation carry legal responsibility, with potential administrative or criminal liability.
