Kyrgyzstan Extends University Admissions with Sixth Enrollment Round

Universities and colleges across Kyrgyzstan are extending their admissions process, announcing a sixth round of selection and enrollment for prospective students. The Ministry of Science, Higher Education and Innovation confirmed the decision, indicating that the extended campaign will run from August 17 to August 22, 2026. This move comes after the initial five rounds failed to fill all available places, necessitating further efforts to complete the student intake.

The selection criteria for this additional round remain consistent with previous stages. Applicants will be evaluated based on their scores from the Nationwide Testing (NBT) and the average grade obtained in their certificate of basic general education. This approach ensures a standardized assessment across all candidates seeking admission to higher education institutions.

The schedule for the sixth round includes registration from August 17 to August 19, with lists of recommended applicants to be published on August 20. Successful candidates will then have until August 22 to confirm their chosen program. Heads of higher and secondary vocational education institutions have been formally instructed to adhere strictly to these deadlines, ensuring the smooth and timely conclusion of the admissions campaign.
