Manas Airport to Operate Under Special Regime for SCO Summit and World Nomad Games

Manas International Airport in Kyrgyzstan will implement a special operating regime on August 31 and September 1 to accommodate the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit and the World Nomad Games. During specific daytime hours on these dates, regular passenger flight arrivals and departures will face temporary restrictions. On August 31, the airport will be busy with SCO Summit participants and official delegations from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. The following day, September 1, passenger flight restrictions will be in effect from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Airports of Kyrgyzstan OJSC clarified that the airport will not be entirely closed, and passenger flights will continue to operate during nighttime hours and outside the specified restriction periods. The company is actively coordinating with airlines to adjust flight schedules, which may involve moving flights to available slots or, in some cases, canceling them. Passengers planning to travel on these dates are strongly advised to verify their flight status directly with their respective airlines in advance and to monitor any updated schedules, as departure and arrival times are subject to change.
