Kyrgyzstan issues silver "Taigan Zharysh" coin for World Nomad Games

Kyrgyzstan's National Bank is introducing a new silver collectible coin, "Taigan Zharysh," on August 25. The release coincides with the VI World Nomad Games, celebrating the nation's heritage. The coin's design prominently features three taigans, a native breed of sighthound, participating in a race against a backdrop of stylized Kyrgyz mountains. It also incorporates the emblem of the World Nomad Games, traditional Kyrgyz ornaments, and details about the coin's denomination, fineness, and weight.

The reverse side of the coin displays the national emblem of Kyrgyzstan and an image of a taigan's head. Inscriptions include "Duinoluk kochmondor oyundary / World Nomad Games" and the year of issue. While the coin has a face value of 10 soms, it will be sold for 8,900 soms. Only 1,000 pieces will be minted, each presented in an acrylic capsule with a separate presentation case and a certificate of authenticity.

Collectors and interested buyers can purchase the coin at the National Bank's cash offices on weekdays between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. The "Taigan Zharysh" coin is legal tender within Kyrgyzstan.
