Kyrgyzstan: Personnel Changes August 17-21

Kyrgyzstan has experienced a series of personnel shifts across various government and public sectors during the week of August 17-21.

Ryisgul Akimzhanova, a prominent entrepreneur and founder of the agroholding "Bay Elim Company," has been appointed to a new role. Akimzhanova, recognized as an Honored Entrepreneur of the Kyrgyz Republic, notably summited Mount Everest in May 2025. She had previously run for a parliamentary seat but was unsuccessful. She is also the wife of former parliament member Emil Toktoshev.

In the health sector, Bakytbek Kadyraliev has resigned from his position as deputy minister of health. Kadyraliev, a well-known cardiac surgeon, had served in the role for approximately eight months, having been appointed in December 2025. His departure was reportedly voluntary.

Meanwhile, Nasipbek Kerimov has been appointed as the acting deputy mayor of Bishkek, overseeing the fuel and energy complex. He replaces Nurgazy Kurmanbekov, who has now taken charge of the municipal enterprise "Bishkekteploset." Kurmanbekov had held his previous position since July 2025. Prior to this appointment, Kerimov served as the deputy minister of energy for the Kyrgyz Republic. Nurgazy Kurmanbekov's predecessor at "Bishkekteploset," Uran Raimbekov, had been in that role since May 2021.
