Which world leaders will come to Kyrgyzstan for the SCO summit?

Kyrgyzstan is preparing to host an unprecedented number of high-profile international guests in late August and early September. The country anticipates leaders from 21 nations for the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit and the VI World Nomad Games. This influx of dignitaries includes presidents, the chairman of the Chinese People's Republic, and prime ministers.

The main session of the Council of Heads of State of the SCO member states will take place in Bishkek on September 1st. The organization's official website confirms this date. The current ten member states are Belarus, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. Expected attendees from these nations include Kyrgyzstan's President Sadyr Жапаров, Belarus's President Alexander Lukashenko, India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian, Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, China's Chairman Xi Jinping, Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Russia's President Vladimir Putin, Tajikistan's President Emomali Rahmon, and Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Russian President Vladimir Putin received a personal invitation from President Жапаров on April 23rd to attend the SCO summit. Russia has confirmed its readiness to continue active cooperation within the organization. Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko is also expected to attend both the SCO summit and the opening ceremony of the World Nomad Games, following an invitation extended by President Жапаров.

Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was invited to participate in the SCO summit and the opening ceremony of the World Nomad Games. President Жапаров confirmed this invitation after bilateral talks with Mirziyoyev in late July. Additionally, Egypt's President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi has been invited as a guest from outside the ten SCO member countries, with President Жапаров personally extending the invitation during a meeting.
