Kyrgyzstan Receives First Fuel Shipments from China

Kyrgyzstan has received its initial fuel supplies from China, marking a new development in the country's energy imports. Videos circulating on social media showed trucks carrying the fuel, signaling the commencement of these deliveries.

This development follows earlier announcements by the Minister of Energy, Altynbek Rysbekov, who had confirmed the upcoming fuel shipments from the People's Republic of China. Rysbekov also stated that contracts for fuel imports had been finalized with Belarus. The logistical challenge of transit through Russia has reportedly been resolved, and several railcars carrying fuel from Belarus have already arrived in Kyrgyzstan.

In addition to supplies from China and Belarus, Kyrgyzstan has also secured a contract with Kazakhstan for fuel imports. The country anticipates receiving substantial monthly deliveries, estimated between 15,000 and 20,000 tons of fuel oil. This fuel oil is a valuable commodity, suitable for deep processing at Kyrgyzstan's domestic oil refineries.

These refineries can utilize the imported fuel oil as raw material to produce gasoline (AI-92) and diesel fuel that meets environmental standards K4 and K5. Efforts are also underway to establish fuel supply agreements with Uzbekistan, indicating a broader strategy to diversify energy sources and ensure stable fuel availability within the country.
