Kyrgyzstan's Islam Narynbekov is two-time U.S. kettlebell champion

Kyrgyzstan's Islam Narynbekov has once again claimed the title of USA and Pan American champion in kettlebell sport. The athlete secured his second consecutive victory at the international tournament, the USA Kettlebell Sport Lifting Nationals & Pan American Championship 2026, held in Michigan on June 26-27.

The event drew elite athletes from across North and South America, all vying for the top spot. Narynbekov's win reaffirms his dominance in the sport and his status as a leading competitor.

Narynbekov, originally from the village of Ат-Баши in the Naryn region, is a key member of Kyrgyzstan's national kettlebell sport team. He competes in the heavyweight division, weighing over 95 kilograms. His career achievements include multiple championship titles, such as world championships, U.S. championships, and Pan American Games victories, alongside several Asian and world championship medals, and four national championships in Kyrgyzstan.
