Kyrgyzstan's 'Kыргызfarmatsiya' to Directly Procure Spinal Implants from Turkish Firm

Kyrgyzstan's state enterprise 'Kыргызfarmatsiya' has signed a memorandum of understanding with Turkey's Mikron Medical, signaling a new phase of cooperation in supplying essential medical devices.

The agreement focuses on the procurement of orthopedic and spinal implants for medical institutions across Kyrgyzstan. By establishing a direct relationship with the manufacturer, 'Kыргызfarmatsiya' aims to streamline the supply chain. This move is expected to cut out multiple intermediaries, a common practice that can inflate costs and delay deliveries.

Mikron Medical, a Turkish company with a long-standing presence in the medical implant sector, brings over four decades of experience to the partnership. Founded in Ankara in 1982, the company specializes in the development and production of medical implants. The products from Mikron Medical are slated for consideration in the centralized procurement of medical devices for 2027.

This collaboration is anticipated to enhance the availability and affordability of critical spinal and orthopedic implants within Kyrgyzstan's healthcare system, potentially improving patient care and outcomes.
