Kyrgyzstan's State Customs Service to add 189 staff

President Sadyr Japarov of Kyrgyzstan has directed a significant expansion of the State Customs Service, ordering an increase of 189 positions within the agency. This directive, formalized in an order signed on August 26, aims to bolster the operational capacity of the body tasked with managing the nation's customs affairs.

The decision to augment the service's personnel is explicitly linked to a broader objective of improving overall efficiency. By adding nearly 200 new positions, the government intends to strengthen the agency's ability to perform its duties more effectively, likely encompassing areas such as trade facilitation, revenue collection, and border security.

The Presidential Administration has designated the Directorate for Control over the Implementation of Decisions of the President and the Cabinet of Ministers to oversee the execution of this order. This ensures that the expansion is implemented according to the president's directives and contributes to the intended improvements in customs operations.
