Kyrgyzstan's tire exports to Russia surge nearly 38-fold

Kyrgyzstan has experienced an extraordinary surge in tire exports to Russia, with figures showing an increase of nearly 38 times in the first six months of 2026 compared to the same period in 2025. This dramatic rise is detailed in data from the Kyrgyz Republic's National Statistical Committee.

According to the statistics, Kyrgyzstan exported 44,300 tires to Russia between January and June 2026. The total value of these exports amounted to $1.562 million. This volume represents a 37.8-fold increase over the figures recorded in the first half of the previous year, highlighting a significant shift in trade dynamics.

Russia stands as the dominant destination for Kyrgyzstan's tire exports, importing 94.9% of all tires shipped out of the country. In total, Kyrgyzstan exported 46,670 tires during the period, with the vast majority destined for the Russian market. This concentration underscores the critical role Russia plays as a key trading partner for this specific product.
