Kyrgyzstan's Unemployment Rate at 3.7%

The Ministry of Labor has released figures indicating that Kyrgyzstan's overall unemployment rate is 3.7%. This data provides a snapshot of the nation's labor market, highlighting key statistics for the year 2025. As of February 1st, the total population reached 7,404,300, with the active workforce comprising 2,860,700 individuals.

The statistics reveal that 2,756,000 people are employed, while 104,700 remain unemployed. Within the officially registered unemployed, the number stands at 57,700. This group includes 25,521 women and 33,752 young people. Furthermore, those officially declared unemployed total 38,270, comprising 17,591 women and 23,488 young individuals.

These figures are crucial for understanding the employment landscape in Kyrgyzstan and for formulating relevant economic and social policies. The Ministry's data aims to inform strategies for job creation and support for the unemployed, particularly focusing on youth and women.
